Published in the 1859 book "Cactaceae of the Boundary" by George Engelmann, this lithograph of the cactus Cereus giganteus, by Paulus Roetter, was the featured illustration.  Entitled "View Along the Gila", the original location was somewhere northeast of Tucson, Arizona, and it was drawn in St. Louis, Missouri, from an on-location sketch by Heinrich Balduin Möllhausen (and later engraved by James David Smillie).
