On the occasion of his 70th birthday, this portrait of Dr. Friedrich Karl Castelhun (affectionately known within my family as the Großvater Painting) was painted in 1898 by Henry Raschen who was a famous painter of Western Americana.  Dr. Castelhun was the son-in-law of Paulus Roetter.
