PAULUS ROETTER
GALLERY:  Framed Prints

Available now for the first time to the general public are identical reprints of all of the artwork within this gallery

The listed prices cover the costs of physically restoring, flatbed scanning or oversized photographing, digitally restoring, and translating the German script into modern English, not to mention the reprinting, framing, handling, and shipping.  I mention all this because I do not wish for our distant cousins to be offended that this artwork is for sale... all the funds go towards restoring and making available even more artwork.  That is a significant goal of mine and I need a way to pay for it somehow.

Please remember that every physical order will look much, much better than what is on the website. The images displayed here are greatly reduced in size and quality, and they are often cropped to fit the boxes. I didn't put watermarks on them because I want distant relations to be able to save the thumbnails for their own genealogical uses. The actual framed prints will be made from extremely high-resolution digital files. From a step back, the reproductions are near indistinguishable from the originals. Unless other specifications are requested, the prints will be on matte paper and put into a black frame of whatever size most closely approximates the size and proportions of the original.

The exceptions to this would be the handful of pictures that are marked that I don't have the originals, nor did I ever scan them.  Those pictures are the highest-resolution that I could obtain, and often not enough to print at decent quality.  I don't expect anyone to buy them and I only included them to share with anyone who is interested since this website also acts as a historical repository of all of the family artwork.
